This report offers a snapshot of student enrollment on a specific day (BEDS Day) in the specified school year, by both grade level and Race/Ethnicity.
BEDS Report
- Go to Reports.
- Select Enrollment.
- Choose BEDS Report from the menu. BEDS enrollment totals include the following enrollment entry reasons:
- (0011) Enrollment in building or grade
- (0022) Foreign Exchange Student
- (5544) Transferred under NCLB Title 1, School in Improvement Status
- (7000) Transferred under NCLB, Persistently Dangerous School
- (7011) Transferred under NCLB, Victim of a Serious Violent Incident
- Select a tally figure (enrollment or suspension) to open the Drill Down Report.
The BEDS report does NOT consider enrollment overrides – students are included in the tally regardless of override. Use the report drill down to identify students with overrides. Use the Exclude from State Reporting option to remove students from BEDS enrollment totals.
When a student has an open UG (Ungraded) Status, the BEDS Report uses the student’s Date of Birth to determine the applicable Grade Level (UG or UGS), the same logic that is used for the Student Lite extract.
Students with the flag Exclude from State Attendance will NOT be included in the BEDS Report’s prior year absence and suspension totals.
The Attendance Code: OSS (Out of School Suspension) drives the BEDS Report’s suspension totals.
