Prior to creating a new Scheduling Run, users should first confirm that the Scheduler Options are set as desired. In the Scheduler Options at Time of Run widget, click the Edit button to open the Scheduler Setup Wizard. Settings with a * have been updated since the selected run. The Scheduler Setup Wizard opens in a new window.
Where to Start
- Go to Scheduling.
- Choose Scheduling.
- Select Scheduling Runs.
- Select Scheduling Dashboard to launch a new window with the dashboard.
Scheduling Dashboard
- In the Scheduler Options at Time of Run widget, select the Edit button to open the Scheduler Setup Wizard.
- In the Scheduler Setup Wizard window, check the settings. On EACH tab, make changes as needed.
- Select Next to save the changes. When finished, close the window.
Scheduling Run
Select the desired button (Section, Build, or Prioritize & Build) to start a new scheduling run.
Section Button
Users can change the default Name for the run, and select the Grade Levels to be included in the run (default: All Grades). Select OK to start the run.
Build Button
Users can change the default Name for the run. Select OK to start the run.
Prioritize & Build Button
Users can change the default Name for the run. Select OK to start the Prioritize & Build process.
The Priority Drag & Drop window allows users to change the build priority. When all priorities have been set, select Build to start the run.
Run Status
Once the run has begun, the Run Status window will open. If desired, users can minimize the window and check back periodically on the process of the run. Select Cancel at any time to cancel the run. The Run Status window will automatically update to indicate the current status of the run. When the run is finished, close the Run Status window. To update the Scheduling Dashboard and view the results of the new run, select the new run from the Run Menu.
Drag and Drop Button
When the most recent Run is selected, users can select the Drag and Drop button to launch the Drag & Drop Schedule interface, a virtual scheduling board that allows the modification of the master schedule using live data.
Load Scheduling Run
After reviewing the run’s results, if an acceptable scheduling result has been achieved, scroll to the bottom of the Scheduling Dashboard and select Load this Run, then select OK to close the load confirmation message.
