The Courses tab allows schedulers to create and modify study hall courses and sections directly from the Study Hall Wizard. It displays all courses for the selected Scheduling Year with a Course Type: Study Hall.
Where to Start
- Go to Scheduling.
- Choose Scheduling.
- Select Study Hall Wizard.
Courses
- Go to the Courses tab.
- Update the Scheduling Year from the dropdown as needed.
- Existing Study Hall courses appear in the table. Select the View or Edit icons to review or update the courses as needed.
- If no study hall courses exist, users must create a study hall course before study hall sections can be created. Select New Course to open the New Course window.
The Study Hall Wizard requires Grade Restrictions, at both the Course and Section levels.
Create New Courses
Enter all required fields denoted by the red *. Study Hall is prefilled at the Course Type and cannot be changed.
When creating a new Study Hall course, ALL grades are selected by default in the Grade Restriction field. This enables users to schedule multiple grades using the same Study Hall course. If NO grade levels are selected, no students will be scheduled into the Study Hall section.
If users manually add class sections (or resource class sections) via Scheduling > Courses > Courses, they MUST select at least one grade level for each Study Hall section.
Grade Advancement for graduating students should be processed prior to running the Study Hall Wizard.
