The eSD® Scheduling Module features an intuitive Study Hall Wizard to fill any gaps in student schedules once they are loaded. This Guide will instruct you in the use of the Study Hall Wizard. You will learn how to create a study hall, and export a report that displays all study hall sections for the building after student schedules are filled. The Study Hall Wizard should only be run AFTER all student schedules have been loaded and AFTER all Placeholder Courses have been converted.

The Study Hall Wizard gives users a lot of control with ease of use for study hall scheduling. Section creation and student scheduling are separate steps, allowing users complete control over the study hall process. The Create Section tool and Run Results window provide schedulers with tools and information in a logical workflow.
Important: The Study Hall Wizard requires users to specify Grade Restrictions, at both the Course and Section levels.
The process of scheduling Study Hall sections involves the following steps:
- Identify students’ free times (Free Time tab)
- Create/modify Study Hall courses (Courses tab)
- Create/modify Study Hall sections (Set Section Parameters/Run tab)
- Schedule students into Study Hall classes (Set Section Parameters/Run tab)
- Review Study Hall scheduling results report (Report tab)
Go to Scheduling > Scheduling > Study Hall Wizard to start the process.
