If attendance letters have been generated in error, users with the correct permissions can reset Attendance Letter Logs, either en masse on the Letter Log detail page or individually from a student’s profile, even after the end date of the Letter Job has passed.
Required Permissions:
- Menu: System > Attendance > Attendance Jobs or Student > Attendance > Attendance Profiles
- Module: Attendance > Attendance Letter Job (Add, Edit, View, Delete, Run)
Mass Resetting Letter Logs
- Select System.
- Open Attendance.
- Select Attendance Jobs.
- Select the View icon next to the job for the Letter Log that needs to be reset.
- Select Letter Log to open the Letter Job Details window.
- Select Search to find all Letters or select the Run Date range and select to filter the date list, then select a Letter Date and select Search.
- The resulting List of Students includes the Letter Job Run Date (date the job ran), the Final Run Date (date the letters were generated), and Final Run Done By (user who generated the letters). Users can export the results list to Excel, or View the individual attendance letter.
- Check the Reset All box or the box(es) next to the individual attendance letter(s).
- Select Reset.
Resetting Individual Letter Logs
- Select Student.
- Open Attendance.
- Select Attendance Profiles.
- Filter search or select Search to view all students.
- Select the student’s ID number to open the student’s Attendance Details.
- Select Letter Logs.
- Select the View icon to see the individual attendance letter.
- Check the Reset All box or the box(es) next to the individual letter(s), then select Reset.
A new letter will be generated when the student reaches the next attendance trigger.
