After an incident has been created, users are able to view and edit them as needed to review or edit details, add victims or infractions, or remove the incident altogether. This lesson outlines how to view and edit existing incidents.
Where to Start
- Go to Student.
- Select Student Profile.
- Filter as needed and Search for a student.
- Select the Student ID to access the Student Profile.
View an Incident
- Go to the Discipline tab of the Student profile.
- Select the View icon for any existing Incident.
Need to create an Incident? Visit Create a New Local Incident for more information.
- Select the + icon to assign a Discipline Action to this student. Types of actions include Detention, Suspension, Conference, and more. Add the required fields and Save to add the action.
- Select Add this student as Victim if the chosen student is the victim of the incident. Response and Student Role may be optionally added. Selecting Save is all the is required to add the student as a victim.
- Select the Print icon to print a copy of the incident details.
Edit an Incident
- Go to the Discipline tab of the Student profile.
- Select the Edit icon for any existing Incident.
- Update or add any details within the Discipline Wizard.
- Click the Add Infraction icon to add a secondary infraction to the incident. Select the Infraction and select Save. Offenders can be added to the infraction after it has been saved.
- Select Save to update the incident.
The Remove Incident button is NOT displayed if the incident has multiple offenders.
Edit Offender Response
- Go to the Discipline tab of the Student profile.
- Select the Edit Offender icon for any existing Incident.
Select the Teacher Recommendation, enter the Teacher Comment, Student Role, and/or Offender Response, and Save.
