Schools are often required by law to report certain types of incidents to state education departments. Accurate logging ensures compliance with these regulations. This lesson shows users how add students to a state incident from the Student Profile.
Where to Start
- Go to Student.
- Select Student Profile.
- Filter as needed and Search for a student.
- Select the Student ID to access the Student Profile.
Access a New State Incident
- Go to the Discipline tab.
- Select State Incident to open the Report State Incident window.
- To add the student to an existing incident, filter the list by Incident Type and/or Date.
- Select Search to view results.
- Select the radio button next to the desired incident.
- Select Next to add the student to the incident as an Offender or Victim
Users can also select View to view the incident details and add the student as an Offender or Victim.
- Choose to Add this student as Offender or Add this student as Victim.
- Add any needed details, then select Save.
When finished adding the students to the incident in the applicable role(s), users can Print the Report, open the VADIR Report, or close the Report State Incident window
