Having centralized tracking and management of behavioral incidents, ensuring consistency and transparency in handling disciplinary actions can be completed within eSD. Incidents help identify patterns and address issues proactively, fostering a safer and more supportive learning environment. Additionally, it provides valuable data for developing targeted interventions and support programs, ultimately contributing to improved student outcomes. This lesson outlines how to create a new local incident within eSD.
Where to Start
- Go to Student.
- Select Student Profile.
- Filter as needed and Search for a student.
- Select the Student ID to access the Student Profile.
Create a New Incident
- Go to the Discipline tab.
- Select New Local Incident.
Enter all required fields for the incident:
- Select an Incident Type from the dropdown menu.
- Set the user who the incident is being Referred By.
- An Incident Description is automatically entered with the Incident Type information. Add additional details as needed.
- Set an Time of Day and Incident Date for the incident.
- The selected School and Location are filled in by default based on the currently set School.
- Enter Location Details of the occurrence.
- Enter the Incident Time in which the incident occurred.
- Select Save to create the Incident.
After the incident is saved, the record appears at the bottom of the page, newest incidents appearing at the top of the table. The incident can be viewed, edited, have actions assigned, and have interventions added.
