Student Medical Conditions
If the profile's Import Options is set to Overwrite conflict records, ALL existing student medical conditions, including transferred students, will be cleared before the file is imported. It is a complete wipe and replace.
If the profile's Import Options is set to Ignore Conflict Records, existing student medical conditions will be kept, and import records that already exist in eSD will be skipped.
The following logic will be used for each combination of Medical Condition Types and Medical Condition Codes:
- Medical Condition Type provided and Medical Condition Code left blank:
- If a Medical Condition (System > Health > Setup Health > Medical Condition) with the same description exists, that Medical Condition will be used for the student medical condition record. If there are multiple matches, only one Medical Condition will be used.
- If there are no matching Medical Condition, the student medical condition record will be created with the Medical Condition Type placed in the Condition Type free-form text box.
- Medical Condition Type left blank and Medical Condition Code provided:
- If a Medical Condition (System > Health > Setup Health > Medical Condition) with the same code exists, that Medical Condition will be used for the student medical condition record.
- If there are no matching Medical Condition, the import record will be rejected.
- Medical Condition Type provided and Medical Condition Code provided:
- If a Medical Condition (System > Health > Setup Health > Medical Condition) with the same code and description exists, that Medical Condition will be used for the student medical condition record.
- If there are no matching Medical Condition, the import will create that Medical Condition and then use it for the student medical condition record to import.
- If the Medical Condition Code matches to a Medical Condition's Medical Code but the description is different, the import record will be rejected.
- If the import file has multiple records using the same Medical Condition Code but have differing Medical Condition Types, all records using that Medical Condition Code will be rejected
- Medical Condition Type left blank and Medical Condition Code left blank:
- The import record will be rejected - there must be a medical condition to import
